The short version
- We use information to answer calls for roofing companies and text them the caller’s details.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We never share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties for marketing.
- You can stop our texts at any time by replying STOP.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request setup or become a customer, we collect your name, business name, email address, mobile phone number, business phone number, and details about how you want Palmer Answers to handle your calls, such as your greeting, service area, and intake questions.
Information from callers
When someone calls a business that uses Palmer Answers, we collect the caller’s phone number and the information they share on the call, such as their name, property address, the roofing issue, and when they’re available. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so we can create an accurate summary for the business.
Text messaging information
When you agree to receive text messages from us, we collect your mobile number, the date, time, and method of your consent, and records of the messages we send and any replies, including opt-out requests.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. When you pay, your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We keep only what we need to run your account, such as whether a payment went through. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
Website information
When you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use it to keep the site running and secure, not for targeted advertising.
Optional website analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics,” we use Google Analytics to understand visits, referring websites, demo engagement, successful inquiries, sign-ups started on our setup form, and confirmed payments. Google receives technical information about your browser and device and uses analytics cookies to distinguish visits. We limit those cookies to 180 days. We do not send your form answers, contact details, call recordings, transcripts, or payment-link tokens to Analytics. We remove query strings and URL fragments from the page addresses we send.
Analytics stays off until you allow it. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time using the “Privacy choices” button; the site and its forms still work. We remember your choice in a separate cookie for 180 days. If you allow analytics and open checkout, a secure cookie lasting up to one day lets our site confirm payment after you return. We do not use Analytics for advertising personalization or enable Google signals. Google processes analytics information as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Answer calls on behalf of our customers and send them the caller’s details by text.
- Recognize returning callers so a follow-up call can pick up where the last one left off.
- Set up and customize the service for each business.
- Send lead alerts, account and service notices, and customer support messages.
- Review call recordings and transcripts to check quality and improve how calls are handled.
- Bill for the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.
4. Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to text messages from Palmer Answers, we use your mobile number to send lead alerts, account and service notices, and support messages, as described in our Terms of Service.
If you call our demo line from a mobile phone, we use the number you called from to send you one text with Riley’s summary of that call, as described in our Terms of Service. We do not use it for marketing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email us at info@palmeranswers.com.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active. We keep call recordings, transcripts, and lead details for as long as we need them to provide the service, including recognizing returning callers, and then delete or de-identify them unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We keep records of text message consent and opt-outs for as long as needed to honor your choices and meet legal requirements.
6. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us.
- If you called a business that uses Palmer Answers, you can contact that business or us. We may need to work with the business to respond to your request.
- You can opt out of our text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. We will respond to requests as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for making one.
8. Children’s privacy
Palmer Answers is a service for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If we make significant changes, we will notify customers directly.
